He was predeceased by: his son Glen Lantrip; his parents, J. O. Lantrip and Cleo Lantrip; and his siblings, Johnny Lantrip, Lailah Smith and Jo Ann Waid.
He is survived by: his wife Gail Ellis Lantrip; his sons, Greg Lantrip (Connie) and Gary Lantrip; his grandchildren, Krystle Whitman (David), Brittney Clark (Clay), Gunnar Lantrip and Harleigh Lantrip; and his sister Faye Brown. He is also survived by loving relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19, a graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Bessemer, Alabama on Friday, February 19, 2021 at 2 p. m.
