He was predeceased by: his parents, Omie Richard Reeves and Ruby Mae Norton Reeves; and his sister Billie Joyce Reeves Hodges. He is survived by: his wife Edna Faye Bush Reeves; his daughters, Joy Denise Reeves (Garner Bryson), Susan Michelle Reeves (Vance Moncada) and Paula Rhnea Reeves Davis; his grandchildren, Rebecca Daniell Garner Garrick, Sarah Katelyn Davis and John Archimedes Davis; and his pet Brittany.
