He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank and Mary; and his brother Frank. He is survived by: his sisters, Glen Alice Lazier and Janice Sue Pearson; his children, Sherry Jean Blair of Surprise, AZ, Sheryl Lee Simpson of Fairview, AL, Michael Don Young of Helena, AL, Cynthia Dee Ruggles of Georgetown, KY, Geoffrey Young of Hoover, AL, Nona Renee Thomas and Indian; and his stepsons, Scott Martin of Columbia, TN and Mark Martin of Pelham, AL.. He is also survived by his 22 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren and 10 Great Great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Cemetery (475 Cahaba Valley Rd, Pelham, AL 35124). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
