He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Dudley Vines Laney; and his parents, Emma Joyce Henson Laney and Cecil Dewey Laney. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher David Laney (Rebecca Mackay Laney) of Hoover and Michael Dudley Laney (Paula Chandler-Laney); and his grandchildren, Alexander David Laney, Sarah Anne Laney, Katherine Elizabeth Laney, Samuel Chandler Laney and Connor Patrick Laney. He is also survived by his sons, their wives and his grandchildren.
