She was predeceased by: her parent Ruth Pope Simmons; and her sister Helen Jo Simmons. She is survived by: her husband James Douglas Elrod; her brothers, James E. Simmons (Suzann), Kenneth V. Simmons (Becky) and Phillip J. Simmons (Jamelle); her daughters, Brandi Curry Jones (Alan) and Jenny Curry Moore (Brian); her grandchildren, Anna Jones, Jacob Moore and Alaina Jones; and her former spouse Pat Curry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and stepchildren.
