It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barney Brasher of Pelham, Alabama, born in Shelby, Alabama, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burley Brasher and Garey Brasher; his significant other Wanda L. Brasher; and his siblings, Columbus Brasher, Adele Ford and Billie Carpenter.

He is survived by: his daughter Anita Brasher; his grandsons, Christopher Carter Jr. (Stephanie), Conner Gammon and Colin Gammon; his sister Ressie Hawkins; and his nephews, David Jones and Abe Jones.
