She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Henry and Emma Marie Griffin Short; her husband Wallace R. Samson; and her sister Margaret J. Loggins. She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Ricky Smith, Kathy P. Lambert (Rickie) and Linda J. Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
