With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Phillip Sumner of Parrish, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 7, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Sumner; his mother Ruby Sumner; and his siblings, Sonny Sumner, Robert Sumner, David Sumner, Brenda Downs and Shirley Sumner.
He is survived by: his children, Christine Spears, Micheal Sumner, Mary Johnson (Brent), Billie Rhodes and Amanda Holloway (Jonathon); his grandchildren, Hailey Wise (Alex), Brodie Wise, Korban Spears, Lily Welch, Tonya, Xavier, Brylee, Tobias Sumner, Nathaniel Johnson, Peyton Johnson (Hannah), Samantha Johnson (Garrett), Karrigan Johnson, Alyssa Harbinson (Jordan), Lindsey Holloway (Tyler) and Addison Holloway; and his siblings, Barry Sumner, Troy Sumner and Kaye Snell. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Collins-Burke Funeral Home (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Collins-Burke Chapel (303 Oak Hill Rd, Jasper, AL 35504).
