He was predeceased by: his sister Rhonda Jent Williams; his brother-in-law Walt Williams; and his grandparents, Paul, Evelyn Busby, Elon and Nellie Jent.

He is survived by: his sons, Lawson Jent and Evan Jent; his parents, Jimmy Jent and Paula Jent; his nephews, Haley Williams (Crystal) and Reilly Williams; and his great-niece Navy Williams. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
