He is survived by: his wife Jodi Courington; his daughter Lori Abbott (Scottie) of Bremen, AL; his stepdaughters, Samantha Arthur of Sylacauga and Allison Arthur of Round Rock, TX; his brother Glenn Courington (Angie) of Crane Hill, AL; and his grandsons, Mason Abbott and Jake Abbott.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to St. Jude's Catholic Church or Coosa Valley Hospice.
