She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Sanford and Elizabeth Irene Sanford (Lawson); her son Roy Dale Blackston; and her siblings, Barbra Woods and Bobby R. Sanford.
She is survived by: her husband Lynnse M. Blackston; and her children, Pamela Jones (Gregg), Carolyn Blackwell (Dennis), Zandra Kimbrell, Amy Thompson (James) and Timothy Miller (Vivian). She is also survived by 17 Grandchildren; 28 Great Grandchildren.
