He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Simmons and Delia Fenell Simmons; and his brother Franklin D. Simmons. He is survived by: his children, Timothy D. Simmons (Elizabeth) of Pansey, Kenneth V. Simmons of Dalton, GA and Betty Joe Mack of Taylor; and his sister LeAllen Appling (Earl) of Dothan. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
