She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Eric Smith and Dollie Mae Turner Smith; and her sisters, Marsha Webb, Pauline Hicks and Betty Strickland.
She is survived by: her husband Gerald Harper; her children, Keith Harper (Theresa), Stacy Harper (Dianna) and Jenia Beason (Scott); her grandchildren, Nathan Harper (Rebecca), Courtney Howard, Mallory, Hunter, Sara Anne Harper, Ashley, Taylor Beason, Kellan Bryan (Matthew) and Hayden Harrison; her great grandchildren, Laney Grace Harper, Cooper and Carson Bryan; and her sisters, Martha Shelley and Annette Gamble. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
