He is survived by: his wife Cathy Cook Sumlar of Pansey, AL; his children, Eric Sumlar of Gordon, AL and Sheena Sumlar of Pansey, AL; his grandchildren, Shelby Sumlar, Xander Sumlar and Brysen Sumlar; and his siblings, Marietta Johnson (Wiley) of Lakeland, FL, Jerry Sumlar, Ed Sumlar, Jr. and Gary Sumlar. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many great friends.
