She was predeceased by: her father Houston Akril Byrd. She is survived by: her siblings, Nina Strickland (Bill) of Birmingham, Judy Grimsley (Tommy) of Enterprise, Jerry Byrd (Sharon) of Ariton, Grady Byrd of Ozark, Henderson Byrd (Bette) of Ozark and Jeff Byrd (Kim) of Ewell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Ebenezer Cemetery Fund (Long Street Community Cemetery) C/O Mrs. Peggy Lewis, 6033 County Road 36, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
