He was predeceased by: his father Calvin Glenwin Peak; his father-in-law Earl Smith; and his grandparents, Hobson, Nola Bryant, Tom and Eula Peak.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Smith Peak; his children, Jamie Climer (Dustin), Stacie Portrey (Anthony) and Josh Dykes (Jordon); his grandchildren, Isabella, Addison, Easton, Slade, Stetson, Kaitlyn, Shelby and Thomas; his mother Faye Peak of Echo, AL.; his mother-in-law Martha Smith; his sisters, Sherry Golson (Chris), Jennifer Keller (Randy), Brenda Clark (Bill), Faye Norman, Sylvia McCourry and Michelle Watson (Rob); and his pets, Killer and Sugar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in honor of Russ for the long battle he fought with diabetes and kidney failure, which eventually took him from this earth to his forever home.
