He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar A. Turner and Dora Turner Fontenot; his stepfather Paul T. Fontenot; his grandmother Joanna Williams Monk Gill (Ma Jo); his uncle Pete Monk; his aunt Rada Mae Monk (Toodley); and his sisters, Jean Walker Howell and Cathy Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Turner; his daughters, Carol Williams (Sammy), Terri Wiggins (Bryant) and Nancy Oliver (Rhett); his grandson Ben Williams (Emily); his children, Emily Ryan (Matt), Matthew Williams and Turner Oliver; his great grandchildren, Ford and Jay Williams; his sister Patsy Cooper; and his stepsiblings, Debbie Pruett (Bill) and Paul Raymond Fontenot (Mary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
