He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Szczepanski and Pearl Wujek Szczepanski; his brother Bernard; his sister-in-law Sharon Szczepanski; his parents-in-law, Grady and Mary Byrd; and his brother-in-law Daniel Byrd.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Jacqueline Veidt Miller (Brian), Janet Szczepanski Denney and Stephen (Maggi); his grandchildren, Alexander Miller, William Denney, Lilly Perkins, Christopher Denney and Nicholas Denney; his siblings-in-law, Isaac Byrd (Joyce) and Lynda Byrd; his nieces, Sherry Drabik (Keith) and Julie Bare; and his nephew John Byrd (Catherine).
