He was predeceased by: his son Max Rene Leatherwood; his former wife Rebekah Judah Leatherwood; and his siblings, Verlon Leatherwood, Mattie Earl Bruner, Aubrey, Forrest, Kenneth, Donald Ray, Charles and Roy Leatherwood.
He is survived by: his wife Angela Judah Leatherwood; his daughter-in-law Jane Leatherwood; his grandson Matthew Douglas Leatherwood; his son-in-law F. Wynn (Deborah); and his grandchildren, Angela Kathleen Meetze, Hank Wynn and Rusty McIntosh.
