He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Murphy Strickland and Ethel Duver Gunter Strickland; his children, Tommy Strickland, Duver Strickland and Larry Strickland; his siblings, Hanson Strickland, Aaron Strickland, Marcus Strickland, Dewitt Strickland, Maurine Bell and Kathleen Grimes; and his son-in-law Jerry D. Strickland.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha Lee Ammons Strickland; his children, Debra Strickland of Ozark, Sheila Kissinger (Mike) of Ozark, Darlene Partridge (Mike) and Ricky Strickland; his grandchildren, Shilo Beving, Ricky Lee Strickland, Nick Kissinger, Candace Weitzman, Brandy Clark, Holly Jimmerson, Jered Webster and Dustin Webster; and his nephew Jerry A. Strickland. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
