With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Thomas Goolsby Jr. of Ozark, Alabama, who passed away on August 3, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Goolsby, Sr. and Lithel Thomas Goolsby; his sister Sylvia Byrd; his father-in-law Toby Peters; and his brother-in-law Gene Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Janetta Peters Goolsby; his children, Jeannie Clark, Tabitha Williams (Ed), Ellen Turvin (Johnny) and Matthew Goolsby; his grandchildren, Angel Clark, Harlie Williams, Noah Williams, McKenzie Williams, Cain Turvin, Lacie Goolsby, Shayana Goolsby and Hasten Lisenby; his sister Elaine Moseley (Carl); his mother-in-law Betty; his brothers-in-law, Aubrey Peters (Rhonda) and Corsey Peters (Janet); and his close friend Jerome Jackson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project (PO Box 758516 Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516).
