He was predeceased by: his parents, Alto Mixon Griggs and Thelma Mae Bottoms Griggs; his brother Billy Homer; and his sister-in-law Judith Griggs. He is survived by: his sons, John Marshall Griggs, Jr. (Petrus) of Panama City and Brian Griggs (Natalie) of Ozark; his grandson Justin Griggs of Panama City, Florida; and his brothers, Robert (Linda Griggs), Neil (Sandra Griggs) and Mickey (Kathy Griggs).
