He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Wright Long and Agnes Eudora Goodroe Long; his wife Betty Anneliese Long; his son Herbert Long; and his brothers, Marion Wright Long, Jr., Cicero Kick Long, Albert Eugene Long and James Clifford Long.
He is survived by: his daughter Marilynn; his children-in-law, Steve Silavent of Ozark and Angie Long of Ozark; his grandchildren, Holly Chancey (Mark) of Ozark, Brad Long (Julie) of Pike Road and Jessica Sanders (William) of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; and his great grandchildren, Dorian Chancey, Chase Morrill, Jack Chancey, Edie Chancey, Jason Chancey, Libby Sanders, Anna Long and Ellie Long.
