With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Bernard Peterman of Ozark, Alabama, who passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Peterman and Hazel Peterman; his daughter Jeanne Jones; his son-in-law Mike Jones; and his siblings, Dottie Cheatham, Aubrey Peterman, Tommy Peterman, Robert Peterman and Betty Peterman.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley S. Peterman; his children, Ronnie Peterman (Kim) and Kaye Crooks (Tim); his grandchildren, Stephanie Anderson (Guy), Heather Johnson (Denny), Jayme Wells (Tara), Jim Anderson (Elizabeth), Kelli Crooks (Shauna), Shane Franklin, Brock Peterman and Kyle Peterman (Savannah); his sisters, Dorothy Smith and Barbara Zoch; and his pet Smokey Joe. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
