He was predeceased by: his father Roy Howard Whitman. He is survived by: his mother Faye Farmer Whitman; his wife Karen Coursey Whitman; and his siblings, Myron Whitman (Debbie), Joe Whitman, Barbara Wambles (Tommy) of Ozark and Becky Stafford (David) of Ozark. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
