He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam "A. D." Miller and Minnie Griggs Miller; his wife Doris Willene McLendon Miller; his son Gerald Keith Miller; and his siblings, Eddie Hayes (Lewis), Lizzie Ann Miller, June Miller (Dean), Ed Miller (Carrie) and O'Neal Miller (Grace).

He is survived by: his children, Janet Elaine Miller and James R. Miller; and his granddaughter Bridgett Sanford.
