He was predeceased by: his wife Bobbie Nell Adkins McDaniel; and his sisters, Mildred Roe and Elizabeth Clark. He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Haynes (Tommy) and Karen McDaniel; his grandchildren, Cliff Haynes (Katrina), Ashley McClenny (Jared), Kelly Weathers (K. C.), Kara Birdsong (Brett) and Turner Lee (Cassie); his great grandchildren, Aubreigh Haynes, Greyson Haynes, Zadie McClenny, Bryan Weathers, Kennedy Claire Birdsong and Brooks Birdsong; and his siblings-in-law, Linda Gail Walker of Ozark, Margaret McDaniel (Bobby) of Ozark and Jerry Adkins (Julie).
