He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Robert Thrasher, Sr. and Carolyn Celesta Brooks Thrasher; his parents-in-law, James and Sofia Walden; his brother William R. Thrasher; his brother-in-law Johnny Walden; his nephew Chad Hammond; his niece Nina Gore; his wife Linda Sofia Thrasher; his daughters, Haley Thrasher (Adam Sonnier) and McKenzie Thrasher (Torrey Dillard); his brothers, Horace Thrasher (Kaye), Jack Thrasher (Bobbie) and Ricky Thrasher (Janet); his siblings-in-law, Jilda Thrasher, Mary Caton, Glenda Wagner, Hellen Hammond (Dale), Jimmy Walden, Edward Walden (Philly) and David Walden (Michelle); and his grandchildren, Keoni James Thrasher, Miamor Sonnier and Iyonna Rose Sonnier. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
