She was predeceased by: her parents, James Melton Baker and Cloie Hines Baker; her husband Kenneth Earl Sasser; the father of her children James Morris Peters; and her sister Connie Baker.
She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Shipes (Scott) of Ozark, Danny Paul Peters (Pam) of Skipperville and Herby Peters (Leigh) of Newville; her stepsons, Ronnie Hinkle (Debbie) of West Virginia and Kenny Sasser of Florida; her grandchildren, Danny Peters (Ashley), Sharon Mathis, Elizabeth Haynie (Greg), Asher Peters, Cloie Belle Peters, Baker Shipes and Zach Shipes (Jasmine); her great grandchildren, Layla Peters, Lainey Peters and Mila Shipes; and her cousin Sandra "Lou" (Terry Chancey).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vivian B. Adams School, 2047 Stuart Tarter Road, Ozark, Alabama 36360.
