He was predeceased by: his parents, Nora Lee Kirkland Condrey and Herbert Condrey; his sisters, Sarah Hodges, Imogene Matthews and Sally Allen; and his great grandchild Mckenzie Anne Kirkland.
He is survived by: his wife Mary W. Kirkland; his children, Phillip E. Kirkland and Beth Human (Jeff); his grandchildren, Josh Kirkland (Melissa), Aaron Kirkland (Crystal), Emily Long (Tra) and Heath Chancey; his great grandchildren, Noah Long, Sawyer Long, Collin Kirkland, Charlie Kirkland, Henry Kirkland and Caleb Kirkland; and his siblings, Christine York (Alton), Sam Condrey (Jewel) and Kenneth Condrey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
