He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Dan and Liddie Lorraine Blackmon Hale; his former wife Joycelyn Lalaine Baker Hale; his daughter Kelle Lalaine Hale; and his siblings, Jessie Randolph Hale and Barbara Hale Jackson.
He is survived by: his wife Fay Foster Hale; his sons, Danl Hale (Shasta) and Stan Hale; his grandchildren, Whitney Hale Brock (Greg Brock) and Hannah Hale of Virginia; his great grandchildren, Emma and Brodie Brock; his sister Brenda Hale Ring (Keith Ring); and his nieces and nephews, Suzan Tindol, Kelly Tindol and Scot Tindol.
