She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Gaddis and Martha Ann Tucker Gaddis; her husband B. Dowling Petrey, Jr.; her son Jerry D. "J. D." Cotton, II; her siblings, Sandra Kay Vandeventer (Chris) and Dale Gaddis; her nieces and nephews, Michael Gaddis, Connor Gaddis, Annalisha Vandeventer, Danielle V. Zagrev and David Vandeventer; her stepdaughter Melanie Shay Collins (John) of Loxley, AL; her stepmother-in-law Hannah Petrey; her brothers-in-law, Roy Petrey (Dana) of Crestview, FL and Tommy Petrey (Susan); and her stepgrandchildren, Jordan Barnett and Shaun Collins.
