He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harris and Miranda Connor Harris; his former wife Irma Jean Shipman Harris; his grandson Phillip Michael Harris; and his siblings, Christina Mae Harris, Emma Davison, Julia Davis, Kate Clayborn, Rosa Lee Cash, Mildred Eddens and Howard Harris.

He is survived by: his wife Paula Jackson-Harris; his son Joel Andre Harris; his grandchildren, Joel Andre Harris, II and Chantel-Celeste Harris; and his nephew Jerry Harris (Alana).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society, P.O. Box 2502, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
