He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles A. Cooper, Sr. and Winnie Faye Seago Cooper; his former wife Evelyn Eloise Hall Cooper; his son Charles Kevin Cooper; his stepson Johnny Byrd; and his brother William Joseph Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Sarah Byrd Cooper; his children, Stephen Cooper and Renae Cooper Mundt; his brother John Parker Cooper (Vera); his grandchildren, Charles Cooper (Chani), Dustin Cooper (Tiffany), Brittany Cooper Young (Mark), Taylor Mundt, Dalton Mundt (Emily), Haylee Cooper Piper (Zach) and Tori Davidson; and his stepchildren, Steve Byrd (Donna) and Barbara Logan (Danny).
