It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alma Renae Livingston Gross of Ozark, Alabama, who passed away on October 13, 2022, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Livingston and Elder Erta Clay Livingston; her granddaughter Micah Billings; her husband James Gross; and her sister Pansy Ruise.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. James Davis III (Stacy) of Ozark, AL, Edward Barnes Sr. (Sandie) of Charlotte, NC, Deprenia Billings (Michael) of Auburn, AL, Javata Epps (Terry) of Liberty, NC, Sonya Gross of Charlotte, NC and Bobby; her adoptive daughter Shandrea Lasco (Richard) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Frances Barrow (Willie) and Erta Livingston (Debbra); her sister-in-law Sonya Poaches of Philadelphia, PA; and her close friend Edward "Shug" Barnes. She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren.
