He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Albert Helms and Jewell Edith Hughes Helms; and his brother Robert Allen Helms. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Miller Helms of Ozark; his sister La Vera; his brother-in-law Paul Rodgers of Geneva; his nieces, Donna Granger (Mike) of Tuscumbia, Paula Jones (LaDon) of Dothan and Michelle Rodgers of Chancellor, Alabama; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrew Paul, Hanna Price, Blake, Millie Fain, Jake, Kate Fain, Dee and Adam Mitchell; and also, Ryles, Rylee Claire Price and Ellie Kat Fain.
