He was predeceased by: his wife Ruechelle Pitts Sims; his parents, Frankie Marie Reaves Sims and Willard Charles Sims, Sr.; and his brother Christopher Lee Sims (Chris). He is survived by: his son Charles Benjamin Sims (Rebecca); his siblings, Ginger Sims Skipper (Barry) and Barry Lane Sims (Rebecca); his grandsons, James Ferriera, Gavin Sargent and Bryant Sims; his mother-in-law Nancy Pitts; his sisters-in-law, Jessica Pitts and Ashley Pitts; his stepson James Maddox; his grandchildren, Kendall, Kaden, Kallie Tuttle, Justin, Byraydon Nichols and Alyssa Peace; and his friends, Huddle House and Munford.
The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
