She was predeceased by: her father Dwight Hawkins (Hawkins); her brother Randy; her sister-in-law Freda Hawkins; and her grandparents, John, Adelle Brewer, Jim and Mamie Hawkins.

She is survived by: her mother Barbara Hawkins; her husband Mark Sims; her daughters, Brandy Hatchett (Lee) and Debra Brooks (Shane); her great grandchild Clementine; her mother-in-law Doris Parker; her brother Steve Hawkins (Paula); and her pets, Andy and Abby.
