Rory Daniel Williams Obituary
A Memorial Service for Rory Daniel Williams, 36, of Oxford, will be at 6 pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at Word Alive International Outreach with Pastor Kent Maddox officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. The family requests that those attending to please dress casual.
Rory passed away on November 27, 2021 at home. Rory was a 2003 graduate of Oxford High School. He attended Southern Union and was employed with Harry Cleghorn Sheet Metal for many years. He continued his grandfather's legacy by doing sheet metal work on his own. Rory enjoyed music, collecting Appalachian pottery and art work, going to concerts, playing guitars, and working with his hands.
Rory attended Recover Wholeness at Word Alive International Outreach and went on to teach and facilitate in the program. He will be best remembered as a gentle soul who was a loving husband, father, son, and uncle. Rory is preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Caroline "A.C.". Williams, and grandparents, Harry W. Cleghorn, Shirley Sexton Cleghorn, Sam Williams, Sr., and Dorothy Sparks Williams; and a cousin, Grant Williams.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Williams; a son, Ryder Lee Williams; his parents, Sherri and Shaw Williams; a brother, Ryan Williams and his wife, Andi; a sister-in-law, Amy Villeda; nephews and nieces, River Williams, Prairie Williams, Sierra Pittman, and Edward Villeda; uncles and aunts, Wayne Cleghorn, Mark and Beth Cleghorn, Sam and Jeanell Williams, Jr, Paul and Brenda Williams, and Alan and Judy Williams.
