He was predeceased by: his wife Kimberly Massey Gable; his parents, William Thomas Gable and Elsie Mae Gable; and his siblings, Larry Gable, Dennis Gable, Joyce Gable and Joan Gable.

He is survived by: his sons, Todd Gable (Robin) of Oxford and Tyler Gable of Oxford; his grandchildren, Luke Gable and Carley Gable; his brothers, Gary Gable and Carter Gable (Diane); his nephews, Barry Sprayberry and Mark Gable; and his pet Sammy.
