She was predeceased by: her husband Jim Burt; her parents, Julius Greene and Alice Key; her sister Martha Hayes; her brother-in-law Horace Hayes; and her niece Lanita Eason.

She is survived by: her brothers, Eugene Greene and James Greene (Nancy); and her nieces and nephews, Denise Hicks (Roger), Carolyn Aldredge (Matt), Beverly Lovell (Alan), Alice Landfair (Adam), Deborah Greene, Adam Greene (Denise) and Aubrey Greene.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her honor to Holly Springs Baptist Church.
