He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Graben East; his parents, Rebecca East and Carl East; and his brothers, Talmadge East, Carl East Jr., Stanley Merrill, Danny McCarty, Paul Kirby, Bob Abbey, Randall White and Jimmy Pirkle.
He is survived by: his son Randy East (Johnnie); his grandson Blake East (Sarah); his great grandchild Beau East; and his siblings, Leon East (Glenda) and Joy Oglesby. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Golden Springs Baptist Church (3 Robertson Rd, Anniston, AL 36207). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Forestlawn Memorial Gardens (730 Golden Springs Rd, Anniston, AL 36207).
