She was predeceased by: her husband William C. Wingo; her parents, Sam Smith, Sr. and Mazie Smith; and her brothers, Sam Smith, Jr. and Sidney Smith.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Upchurch (Steve) and Gina Freeman (Doug); her grandchildren, Bekah Morrison (Stuart) and Will Freeman (Haley); and her great grandchildren, Auren, Houston Morrison, Axton and Hendrix Freeman. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
