She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Hughes Dempsey and Herschell W. Dempsey Sr.; her husband Charles M. Propst; and her brother Herschell W. Dempsey Jr.. She is survived by: her brothers, David and Warren Dempsey; her children, Jaqueline Abels, Michelle Das and Allen Gregory; and her stepdaughter Renee McDonald.
The family will have a private gathering and respectfully requests no flowers, though contributions may be made for the Panama Canal Museum Collection at the University of Florida.
