It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nettie Carter Whitley (Oxford, Alabama), who passed away on October 8, 2021, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Swope Whitley; and her son James Michael Whitley. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth Whitley Jones; her grandchildren, Karen Jones Bray, Kelly Jones Stephens and Noelle Jones; her great grandchildren, Gracie Lane Bray, Elle Stephens and Livi Stephens; and her nephews, Ron and Stan Allen.
