She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. Chester Hugh Beason; her great grandchildren, Katie Knight and Nora Jean Collins; and her siblings, Oatis Benefield, Dual Benefield, Doug Benefield, Harold Benefield, Bertie Lois Ingram, Thelma Wysner and Margie Faye Wingo.
She is survived by: her children, Joyce Johns (Don), Peggy Collins (Tom), Yvonne Green (Roger), Tim Beason and David Beason (Kathy); her grandchildren, Twyla Knight, Eddie Johns, Tisha Stewart, Rusty Collins, Stacy Marcum, Brian Green, Janna Graham, Chad Beason, Nikki Renfroe and Zac Beason; her siblings, Jerry Wayne Benefield (Julie), Mae Smith and Doris Carter; and her pet Oreo. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
