She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob Turnipseed and Imogene Turnipseed. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Carter; her children, Shelly Crow (Steve) and Blake Parker (Dianne); her grandchildren, Amanda Crow "Sunshine", Kaycee Porter (Curt), Morgan Crow, Cory Parker and Alex Parker; her great grandchildren, Andee Porter, Carter Porter, Jackson Porter, Bradley Parker, Owen Parker and Quentin Parker; her brother Mike Turnipseed; and her pet Leo.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Golden Springs Baptist Church (3 Robertson Rd, Anniston, AL 36207). A memorial service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
