She was predeceased by: her significant other Mancil Sims; her parents, Monroe Gann and Ruby Gann; her stepmother Ruth Gann; and her brother Jerold Gann.

She is survived by: her daughters, Rachel Sims O'Dell (Calvin) and Samantha Diane Sims Elkins; her grandsons, Marcus O'Dell (Nikki) and Ben Elkins; her great grandchild Kennedy O'Dell; her siblings, Dennis Gann (Shirley) and Teresa Nance (Joe); and her brother-in-law Clarence Sims. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
