She was predeceased by: her son Wallace "Jackie" Character; and her parents, Raymond Dempsey and Annie Dempsey. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Christopher Character (Stephanie), Shenna Character and Stephanie Harris; her brother Danny Dempsey (Janie); her great grandchildren, Brayden Character, Bradley Character, Bryson Character, Brennyn Character and Brantley Thompson; and her nieces and nephews, Susie Shiffliett (Mike), Michelle Cox, Daniel Dempsey and Scott Dempsey (Jennifer). She is also survived by several great-nieces and great-nephews and extended family members, and friends.
