With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joy Anderson Busby of Oxford, Alabama, who passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Edward Busby; her parents, Willie Anderson and Allie Anderson; and her sons-in-law, Macon Ray and Stanley Cheatwood.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ray, Sherry Pirkle (Jim), Mae Cheatwood and Charles Busby (Anita); her grandchildren, Mont Pirkle (Wendy), Stacy Cheatwood Powell, Heath Ray (Kathy), Casey Humphries (Corey), Bambi Ray Coogan, Autumn Barraza (Israel), Holly Busby and Troy Busby (Morgan); her great grandchildren, Haley Freeman (Will), Mack Humphries, Emma Ray, Claire Humphries, Zach Ray and Luke Ray; her great great grandchild Axton Freeman; and her sister Allie Stewart.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be given to Golden Springs Baptist Church Building Fund or Encompass Hospice of Oxford.
